The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity to join a specialist international arbitration practice acting on complex, high-value cross-border disputes for sophisticated corporate, investor and high-net-worth clients. With a growing pipeline of international work, the practice is expanding its in-house legal capability and is looking to appoint an experienced arbitration lawyer who is passionate about international dispute resolution and enjoys working in an entrepreneurial, flexible environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on substantial international arbitration matters without the constraints of a traditional law firm structure, while playing a key role in the continued growth of a specialist global practice.

The Role:
You will work on a broad range of complex international commercial arbitration matters from inception through to resolution, advising clients across multiple jurisdictions on high-value disputes.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing complex international commercial arbitration matters from commencement through to final award and enforcement where required.
  • Advising clients on cross-border dispute strategy and arbitration proceedings.
  • Drafting pleadings, submissions, witness statements and other arbitration documents.
  • Working closely with leading barristers, King's Counsel, experts and overseas legal teams where appropriate.
  • Managing client relationships and delivering commercially focused legal advice.
  • Supporting the continued expansion of the practice and helping build its in-house legal capability.

About You:
The successful candidate will have:
  • Around 5-6 years' post-qualification experience (or equivalent level of experience).
  • Strong experience in international commercial arbitration.
  • Experience handling complex, high-value cross-border disputes.
  • Excellent drafting, analytical and advocacy skills.
  • The ability to work independently while managing multiple matters.
  • A passion for international arbitration and alternative dispute resolution.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and the confidence to work outside a traditional law firm environment.
  • Applications are welcomed from lawyers qualified in any jurisdiction. UK qualification or SRA registration is not required. Experienced arbitration barristers with relevant commercial arbitration experience are also encouraged to apply.
