About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Conveyancing Assistant or Paralegal to join a busy Residential Property team, with a particular focus on new build transactions. This role would suit someone with around two years’ conveyancing experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking to continue developing within a supportive and ambitious firm. Working closely with experienced fee earners, you will play a key role in supporting transactions from instruction through to post-completion, ensuring matters progress efficiently and clients receive an excellent service throughout.

Responsibilities:
  • Acting as a first point of contact for clients, developers, brokers and third parties
  • Assisting with client onboarding, including ID verification and proof of funds checks
  • Supporting new build transactions through the early stages of the process
  • Assisting with file opening and general file management
  • Preparing completion statements
  • Handling LISA and Help to Buy ISA withdrawals
  • Managing NHBC warranty portal administration
  • Ordering and reviewing searches including Local Authority and Chancel searches
  • Preparing SDLT and Land Registry forms
  • Providing general administrative support to the Residential Property team
  • Supporting team targets and ensuring matters are progressed efficiently
Qualifications:
The successful candidate is likely to have:
Required Skills:
  • Previous experience within residential conveyancing, ideally new build
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
  • The ability to manage a busy workload and support multiple fee earners
  • Good IT skills and confidence using case management systems
  • A proactive and team-oriented approach

Pay range and compensation package:
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday
  • Office-based role in Essex
