The Team:
You'll join a close-knit, collaborative team of approximately 18 professionals who provide holistic services across Global Mobility, Employment Tax, and Share Schemes. We work with a diverse client base including high-growth start-ups, established multinationals, and investment funds, helping them navigate the complex landscape of employee reward, mobility, and tax compliance.

The Role:
We're looking for a Share Schemes Manager or Senior Manager to play a key role in the team. This is a predominantly advisory position (with some compliance work), offering direct access to partners and the autonomy to manage your own workflow. You will act as a trusted adviser, helping clients implement and manage incentive arrangements that align with their commercial goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advisory & Structuring: Designing and implementing share plans (both HMRC tax-advantaged and unapproved) that align with clients' commercial objectives
  • Technical Delivery: Managing complex projects including:
  • "Growth share" planning
  • Split interests and freezer shares
  • Nil-paid arrangements
  • Employee Ownership Trusts (EOTs)
  • Carried interest and co-investment structures for investment fund clients
  • Tax structuring for fund managers
  • Client Management: Acting as primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, ensuring high-quality service delivery, managing billing, and maintaining strong long-term relationships
  • Team Collaboration: Working closely with colleagues across employment tax and global mobility to deliver joined-up solutions
  • Mentoring: Supervising junior staff, reviewing their work, and supporting their technical development
Essential Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Degree-level education
  • CTA, ATT, ACA, ACCA, or qualified solicitor (or equivalent professional qualification)
  • Must be from accountancy consulting or legal sector background
Technical Expertise:
  • Experience in share schemes advisory and structuring (EMI, CSOP, SIP, SAYE, and unapproved plans)
  • Experience with some or all of the following:
  • Growth shares, split interests, freezer shares, nil-paid arrangements
  • Employee Ownership Trusts (EOTs)
  • Carried interest and co-investment structures
  • Fund manager incentive arrangements
  • Strong understanding of the interaction between employment tax, CGT, and NICs as they relate to equity reward
Corporate Awareness:
  • Understanding of accounting, employment law, and company law implications of share incentives
  • Communication:
  • Excellent ability to translate complex tax legislation into clear, commercial advice for clients
  • Strong client-facing and relationship management skills
