We are working with a well-established law firm to recruit a talented Trusts & Tax Specialist to join their high-performing Private Client team. This is a full-time permanent position, offering flexibility on base location, with hybrid working arrangements and real support for work/life balance. Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a broad caseload of trust settlements, trust administration, and associated tax matters.
  • Draft and review trust documentation and provide specialist tax advice throughout the trust lifecycle.
  • Deliver a high level of client service, maintaining long-term relationships with individuals, families, and referrers.
  • Contribute to business development and networking to grow the team’s profile.
  • Support colleagues across the wider Private Client practice, including estate planning and cross-border matters.
  • Ensure compliance with all professional, regulatory, and firm-wide policies.
  • Take a proactive role in mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to the growth of the trusts practice.
About You:
  • Relevant professional qualification (Solicitor, Chartered Tax Adviser, STEP, or equivalent).
  • At least 3 years’ PQE with demonstrable experience in trusts and tax within a Private Client setting.
  • Strong technical expertise in drafting settlements, administering trusts, and advising on complex tax issues.
  • Broader knowledge of wills, estate planning, and wider Private Client matters is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Commercially aware with proven experience in business development.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience is advantageous.
